This one might be way too personal, perhaps shouldn’t be on my 101, but again, I promised myself two things: that I would write here everything that helped me get throught and that this place won’t be just a blog, but an open diary of my journey, so here’s to me and all of you! <3
You have to start replacing the idea of being thin and skinny for the idea of being healthy and fit. Thin just doesn’t cut it, nor does skinny.
Being fit and building up a little bit of muscle helps you burn calories even when you’re not working out, which means you can eat nearly whatever you want and your body will be more than glad to destroy those calories if you had some muscle, if you were fit. Staying fit is much easier than staying thin or skinny.
Not to mention, it is more healthy as well.
Have you ever heard that nothing worth in life comes easily? staying in bed all day and eat half an apple and drink water all day can be quite easy compared to run, jog, hike, bike, dance, climb, surf, swim, and the list goes on.
Being fit makes you feel alive, it keeps you motivated, it makes your health better, it makes your body work properly. Being just thin or skinny, well it doesn’t. Have you ever seen sculptures or paintings of the first cultures on earth in which they looked like all they did during the day was sit down and watch tv? No, they have bodies of people who were fit, active, healthy, ALIVE.
And through my journey I’ve learnt that I don’t wanna be skinny, I have no desire to become thin. All I aim for is to become fit, all I thrive for is to be healthy.
